Kilims are pileless floor coverings produced by flat-weaving. Although kilims have been produced for centuries, until relatively recently they were produced almost exclusively for domestic use. Unlike pile carpets, which were widely exported, the designs have therefore been insulated from Western influence.
Our collection of kilims represent a broad range, produced in regions within Iran, Afghanistan and Turkey. The nomadic tribes who create them have been hand-crafting kilims for generations, making use of fine wools and natural vegetable dyes.
Our kilims are available in different sizes from small scatter size up to runners and larger carpet sizes.
